Genetti felt an immediate connection to glass and was inspired by the beauty of the process as a glassblowing apprentice over 20 years ago. Today Genetti uses many traditional techniques including the layering of colored glass and the Italian process of incalmo. One of the most recognizable characteristics of his work is his use of natural subjects, including animal and floral motifs, combined with geometric patterns that are sandblasted into the surface of the vessels.
